Senior Database Engineer - Data Synchronization SpecialistCompany OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Database Engineer to architect and maintain our Manatal recruitment database synchronization infrastructure. This role is critical for maintaining data authority, overcoming API throttling limitations, and providing flexible data access across our organization.Position SummaryThe Senior Database Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust PostgreSQL database that syncs with Manatal's recruitment platform. You'll work closely with our automation engineers to ensure seamless data flow and create comprehensive documentation using professional ERD tools.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement PostgreSQL database schemas optimized for recruitment data synchronizationCollaborate with automation engineers to define data flow requirements and sync strategiesConfigure and manage Docker containers for PostgreSQL, pgAdmin, and other database toolsCreate and maintain comprehensive ERD documentation using professional tools (Lucidchart, dbdiagram.io, etc.)Monitor database performance and troubleshoot data inconsistenciesImplement security best practices for database accessOptimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and maintenance proceduresDesign data models that support efficient synchronization patternsMaintain detailed technical documentation and data dictionariesProvide training and support to team members on database usageEvaluate and recommend database tools and technologiesRequired Skills & ExperienceDatabase Expertise:5+ years of PostgreSQL administration and developmentExpert knowledge of SQL, including complex queries, stored procedures, and triggersExperience with JSONB data types and polymorphic relationshipsDatabase performance tuning and optimization skillsExperience with database replication and high availability setupsModern Database Platforms:Experience with Supabase or similar PostgreSQL-based platformsUnderstanding of real-time subscriptions and row-level securityKnowledge of database-as-a-service platformsExperience with database migrations and schema versioningData Architecture & Design:Strong understanding of data modeling and normalizationExperience designing schemas for high-volume synchronizationKnowledge of data warehousing conceptsUnderstanding of API data structures and transformation requirementsDevOps & Infrastructure:Strong Docker and Docker Compose experienceLinux server administration (Ubuntu preferred)Experience with database backup and recovery strategiesVersion control with Git/GitHubDocumentation & Visualization:Proficiency with professional ERD tools (Lucidchart, dbdiagram.io, ERwin, etc.)Experience creating technical documentation and data dictionariesAbility to communicate complex database designs to non-technical stakeholdersPreferred QualificationsExperience with recruitment/ATS systems (Manatal experience is a plus)Familiarity with multiple ERD and database design toolsKnowledge of Redis for caching strategiesExperience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)Understanding of event-driven architecturesExperience with data synchronization patterns and conflict resolutionWhat We OfferCompetitive salary based on experienceRemote work flexibilityOpportunity to architect critical infrastructureProfessional development opportunitiesDirect impact on company data strategy
