Role Description

This is a contract role for a Social Media Manager based in Lagos, with a hybrid work arrangement allowing for some work-from-home flexibility. The Social Media Manager will develop and implement effective social media strategies, manage social media accounts, optimize engagement and reach through Social Media Optimization (SMO). Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with company goals. Manage daily posting and content scheduling on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other platforms.Create engaging, high-quality content (images, videos, captions, stories, etc.).Monitor social media channels, respond to messages, engage with followers, and build community.Track performance using analytics tools and prepare monthly reports on growth, engagement, and campaign performance.Collaborate with marketing, sales, and design teams to align messaging and campaigns.Manage advertising campaigns (paid social) and optimize for results. Stay updated with trends, algorithms, and best practices. Identify influencer or partnership opportunities.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimization (SMO) Strong Written Communication and general Writing abilities Expertise in Content Strategy for engaging and effective campaigns Creativity and adaptability in developing innovative social media content Understanding of social media analytics tools to measure performance Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a team Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field is a plus Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role. Strong copywriting and content creation skills. Good understanding of social media analytics and reporting tools. Experience with social media advertising platforms (Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, etc.) is a plus. Basic graphic design or video editing skills (Canva, CapCut, Adobe Suite). Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
