JOB ADVERT FOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Position: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Lagos state

Salary: negotiable; other packages are pension, HMO, Leave allowance and 13th months.

Employment Type: Full-time

We pride ourselves on excellence, innovation, and professionalism in all our operations. We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-orientated quantity surveyor to join our team.

Job Summary:

The quantity surveyor will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are completed within budget, to the required quality standards, and in compliance with all regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for construction projects.
  • Manage project costs and monitor variations to ensure financial control.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk analyses.
  • Prepare and analyse tenders and contracts.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Provide advice on contractual claims and procurement strategies.
  • Evaluate completed work and process payments to contractors.
  • Prepare progress reports and project valuations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2–5 years relevant experience in construction or cost management.
  • Membership of NIQS, RICS, or any recognised professional body is an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and cost-estimating software.
