The Administrative Assistant at GOF will be required to provide support on the day-to-day running of the organization, identify, advice and process funding and/or grant opportunities for projects, manage communications across different platforms, as well as support onsite projects and outreaches.

He/She must have experience working with an NGO, basic experience with grants writing and very knowledgeable about the workings of social media platforms. He/She must have good writing and communication skills, be organized, with ability to work independently- under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Handle day-to-day administrative tasks as assigned
  • Identify funding opportunities for projects and process same
  • Handle social media activities- share posts and engage with audience, schedule contents
  • Create basic graphics and featured image for website as required
  • Create and share content across social media platforms as required
  • Prepare monthly reports and share via google drive

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum academic qualification- OND/HND/bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Proficient with Microsoft office (excel, word, powerpoint).
  • Must be passionate about helping people
  • Experience working in an NGO, charity is added advantage
  • Basic experience with grant processing (sourcing, application and follow-up)
  • Good knowledge of social media platforms
  • Good writing and communication skills, be organized, with ability to work independently- under minimal supervision.
