Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Lagos, Nigeria, for a Senior Geologist. The Senior Geologist will be responsible for overseeing geotechnical investigations, analyzing geological data, conducting field surveys, and supervising drilling activities. Additional responsibilities include logging, geological mapping, and providing technical expertise to ensure project quality and compliance with safety standards. The Senior Geologist will also collaborate with engineers, contractors, and clients to provide support for ground engineering projects.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in field work, including hands-on experience in various geotechnical and geological investigation processes.
• Proficiency in logging and geological mapping to ensure accurate data collection and analysis.
• Experience in geophysics and knowledge of relevant tools and techniques for subsurface analysis.
• Familiarity with drilling operations, including project planning and team supervision.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex geological and geotechnical challenges.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Applied Geophysics or a related field is required,
• 5+ years of professional experience in geotechnical investigations and related projects.
