Senior Exploration Geologist – Gold, Copper & Bauxite

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

About the Role

We are looking for an exceptionally skilled Senior Exploration Geologist with deep, hands-on experience in Gold, Copper & Bauxite exploration. The ideal hire will be a seasoned Indian geologist with outstanding communication skills and 20–25+ years of multi-metal exploration expertise.

You will lead high-impact exploration programs across Greenfield & Brownfield sites, manage drilling operations, build geological models, and directly contribute to shaping the company's resource development strategy.

  • Key ResponsibilitiesLead exploration programs (mapping, drilling, sampling, geochem/geophysics) for Gold, Copper & Bauxite.
  • Design exploration strategies, drill targets, and field plans.
  • Build & interpret geological, geochemical & geophysical datasets.
  • Prepare maps, sections, core logs, 3D models & geological interpretations.
  • Manage QA/QC workflows, assay reviews & geological databases.
  • Use advanced software: Surpac, Datamine, Micromine, Leapfrog, ArcGIS, MapInfo, Global Mapper.
  • Support mineral resource estimations as per JORC / NI / CRIRSCO.
  • Supervise drilling (RC/DD), field teams, contractors & lab coordination.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations & exploration updates.
  • Collaborate with mining, environment, processing, and planning teams.

What We Are Looking For

20–25 years in multi-metal exploration (Gold, Copper & Bauxite)

Minimum 5+ years in Gold exploration or gold mining

Strong Greenfield exploration experience

Expertise in drilling program management & QAQC

Strong leadership & field team management experience

Excellent communication & presentation abilities

Highly adaptable to remote operation

  • QualificationsM.Sc./M.Tech in Geology (mandatory)
  • Membership in international geological bodies (GSL, SEG, AIG, GSA, etc.) preferred
