Role Overview
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for preparing accurate quantity take-offs from architectural and mechanical drawings, primarily for plumbing and piping works. The role is time-sensitive, with success measured by the ability to deliver outputs within a 48-hour turnaround time.This position requires a technically sound engineer who can interpret drawings independently and engage in site discussions with clients when required.Key
Responsibilities
Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from architectural and mechanical drawings
Review plumbing and piping layouts for accuracy and constructability
Analyze BOQs, drawings, and specifications to extract material quantities
Support project discussions through site visits and client meetings
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accuracy and timely delivery
Maintain high responsiveness, meeting a 48-hour SLA on assigned take-offs
Participation in site meetings and technical discussions
Required Qualifications & Experience
BSc in Mechanical Engineering or related degree (mandatory)
2–3 years of hands-on experience in plumbing and piping systems
Proven ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings independently
Experience producing quantity take-offs from construction drawings
Familiarity with construction materials, fittings, and piping systems
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₦500,000.00 per month
