Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position for a Procurement Officer based in Ibadan. The Procurement Officer will handle purchasing activities, including creating purchase orders, managing procurement operations, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. Responsibilities include vendor sourcing, negotiation of contracts, maintaining procurement records, analyzing purchasing trends, and developing strategies to optimize procurement processes. The role will also require adherence to institutional policies and procedures to ensure compliance and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Procurement and Purchasing processes
  • Skilled in creating and managing Purchase Orders and vendor relationships
  • Experience in Contract Negotiation
  • Strong Analytical Skills to evaluate supplier performance and optimize operations
  • Attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively under on-site, fast-paced conditions in Ibadan
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Previous experience in procurement or a related role is advantageous
