Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled
Database Engineer/Developer
with strong experience in
MongoDB
to design, build, optimize, and maintain our data systems. You will work closely with engineering teams to support application development, performance, reliability, and data integrity across multiple environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable MongoDB schemas and collections.
  • Build efficient queries, indexes, and aggregation pipelines.
  • Optimize database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices.
  • Manage database backups, restores, replication, and high availability configurations.
  • Implement data security controls, encryption, and access policies.
  • Collaborate with backend and DevOps teams on integrations and data workflows.
  • Support CI/CD processes with database scripts, migrations, and utilities.
  • Monitor database health, capacity, and performance metrics.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3–7+ years of experience working with MongoDB in production systems.
  • Strong understanding of schema design, indexing, aggregation, and query optimization.
  • Experience with replica sets, sharding, and distributed data architecture.
  • Proficiency with at least one backend language , Python, Go, or similar).
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS or similar) and DevOps workflows.
  • Experience with database automation, monitoring, and performance tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
  • Knowledge of Kafka, Redis, or search engines (Elasticsearch/OpenSearch).
  • Exposure to security, compliance, or large-scale logging systems.
  • Experience working in fast-paced startup environments.
