FAV multi-service is a growing retail and frozen food company with outlets in Ajah and Sangotedo, Lagos. They specialize in the sale of high-quality frozen foods, groceries and other household essentials, providing customers with a clean, reliable and customer-friendly shopping experience.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and reliable HR Officer to manage all human resources functions across both FAV Multi-Service branches. The ideal candidate must be mature, firm but approachable and capable of handling a diverse workforce effectively.

This person will oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance monitoring, employee relations and compliance with company policies. The HR Officer will also work closely with management to ensure that staff performance aligns with company goals and that both stores maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities


• Oversee HR operations across both Ajah and Sangotedo branches, ensuring consistent application of policies and practices.


• Coordinate staff recruitment, onboarding and orientation to ensure that qualified and disciplined employees are hired and properly integrated.


• Maintain accurate staff records, attendance logs and performance reports.


• Monitor employee punctuality, productivity and conduct, ensuring adherence to company policies and work ethics.


• Handle employee grievances, conflict resolution and disciplinary processes professionally and fairly.


• Support branch supervisors and managers in enforcing HR policies and addressing staff issues as they arise.


• Ensure compliance with labor laws, company rules and health and safety regulations.


• Develop and implement strategies for staff motivation, engagement and retention.


• Plan and conduct periodic staff meetings, trainings and performance reviews.


• Assist management in identifying staffing needs and planning work schedules accordingly.


• Advise management on HR best practices and operational improvements for workforce efficiency.


• Act as a trusted liaison between employees and management to maintain clear communication and mutual respect.

Qualifications & Requirements


• Bachelor's degree or HND in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.


• Minimum of 4–6 years' experience in HR operations, preferably within retail, supermarket or FMCG environments.


• Strong understanding of Nigerian labor laws, HR policies and employee relations management.


• Mature and emotionally intelligent, with excellent judgment and discretion.


• Excellent communication, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills.


• Proactive, organized and capable of handling multiple staff-related matters across different locations.


• Good reporting, documentation, and record-keeping skills.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with HR or attendance management tools is an advantage.


• Strong leadership qualities and the ability to influence positive team culture.


• Professional appearance, well-composed and dependable under pressure.
