Concrete Yard Production Manager
to oversee and optimize concrete production activities within our construction division.

About the job:

The
Concrete Yard Production Manager
will be responsible for managing all concrete production operations from batching, mixing, and casting to quality control and delivery coordination. The role requires deep technical expertise in concrete production processes, strong leadership abilities, and hands-on experience managing teams, materials, and equipment in a high-demand construction environment.

Responsibility:

Production Management

• Oversee daily concrete production activities to meet required quality and quantity targets.
• Supervise batching, mixing, pouring, and curing operations according to design specifications.
• Ensure efficient use of materials, manpower, and machinery.
• Develop and maintain production schedules aligned with project timelines.

Quality Assurance

• Implement and enforce strict quality control checks on all concrete batches.
• Monitor mix consistency, slump, strength, and curing processes to ensure compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with the engineering and quality control teams to troubleshoot material or mix issues.

Equipment & Yard Operations

• Oversee maintenance of all concrete production machinery, batching plants, molds, and curing areas.
• Ensure proper calibration and functionality of production equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production yard environment.

Team Leadership

• Lead, train, and supervise yard and production staff to ensure peak performance.
• Assign responsibilities and monitor performance metrics (output, downtime, and material wastage).
• Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to
  Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE)
  standards across the yard.
• Conduct safety audits and ensure all team members follow proper safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and regulatory compliance records.

Reporting & Coordination

• Prepare daily and weekly production reports (output, consumption, downtime).
• Coordinate with construction, logistics, and procurement teams for material supply and dispatch.
• Participate in planning meetings to align yard output with site demand.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in
  Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years' proven experience
  in
  concrete production, precast yard management, or construction material operations.
• Strong understanding of concrete mix design, batching processes, curing techniques, and quality assurance procedures.
• Proficiency in production planning, resource allocation, and material control.
• Excellent knowledge of HSE standards, quality assurance systems, and plant operations compliance.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple production priorities.
• Proficiency with relevant software (MS Office, production management tools, or ERP systems) is an advantage.
