Job Title: Finance Associate

Location: Ikeja

Summary

The Finance Associate will manage core finance and loan operations, including loan accounting, reconciliations, payroll support, expense processing, and financial reporting. The role requires accuracy, analytical capability, and strong understanding of both internal finance workflows and lending processes.

Key Responsibilities

● Manage daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records.

● Oversee loan disbursements, repayment tracking, interest calculations, and loan schedule updates.

● Perform bank, loan, and control account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

● Support payroll preparation and ensure accurate statutory deductions and remittances (PAYE, pension etc.).

● Process vendor payments, staff reimbursements, and maintain proper expense documentation.

● Prepare month-end and year-end closing schedules, journal entries, and financial reports.

● Generate financial and loan performance reports to support decision-making.

● Assist with budgeting, cashflow planning, and costs monitoring.

● Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory guidelines.

● Liaise with credit, collections, operations, and auditors as required.

Requirements

● Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

● 2–3 years' experience in finance or accounting; experience in a loan, microfinance, or financial services environment is strongly preferred.

● Good understanding of loan accounting, payroll processes, and statutory remittances.

● Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/loan management software.

● Strong analytical, communication, and record-keeping skills.

● Professional qualification or part qualification (ICAN, ACCA, ACA) is an added advantage.
