Public Relations and Digital Marketing Associate

to join our team and work with our publications and events department. This hybrid role is for people based in either London, UK or Abuja, Nigeria.

Public Relations and Digital Marketing Associate

, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and implementing public relations and digital marketing strategies to promote our products and services. Your responsibilities will include conducting digital marketing campaigns, creating engaging content, analysing performance metrics and collaborating with the various teams to drive brand awareness, event promotion, book and events promotion for our authors as well as for our client and partner events.

Responsibilities

  • Digital Marketing Campaigns:

Plan, execute, and manage digital marketing campaigns across various platforms, including social media, email, and search engine marketing.
- Content Creation:

Develop and create engaging digital content, including newsletters, advertisements, social media posts, and website content.
- Performance Analysis:

Analyse marketing metrics and KPIs to evaluate campaign performance and optimize strategies. Provide regular performance reports.
- Social Media Support:

Work with editorial and commercial teams to promote forthcoming and new books as well as events and readings etc for our authors and CRP
- Collaboration:

Work closely across all departments to develop integrated marketing initiatives.
- Travelling & Off-site Work:

Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking activities to perform onsite marketing activities, in the UK or abroad where necessary
- Perform other related duties as required.

Skills and Competencies

  • Public relations and digital marketing experience
  • Strong analytic thinking and capacity for creative ideas.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and CRM/CSM platforms, such as Google Analytics, social media management tools, and email marketing software for newsletters
  • Understanding of analytics tools to measure performance.
  • Creative mindset and quick thinking.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving targets and objectives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to analyse, streamline and tailor a variety of information succinctly.
  • The ability to handle several projects at one time.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Good understanding of the African publishing industry and market will be an advantage.

Qualifications and Experiences

  • Bachelor's degree in public relations, advertising, branding, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in marketing roles, within publishing or events, preferably in Africa.
  • Strong understanding of the African publishing and event landscape.
  • Qualifications and/or experience may be substituted for certain minimum qualifications.
