  • The Gas Plant Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and optimization of gas processing, storage, and distribution systems at the plant.
  • The role involves ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory and environmental standards while maintaining smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and monitor plant operations to ensure efficient gas production and distribution.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment such as compressors, valves, pumps, and storage tanks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational or mechanical issues promptly.
  • Develop and implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed technical and operational reports.
  • Coordinate with vendors, technicians, and other team members for repairs or system upgrades.
  • Analyze plant performance data to identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and environmental standards.
  • Support the management team in planning plant expansion, equipment upgrades, and cost optimization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum, or Gas Engineering (or a related field).
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in gas plant operations or industrial plant maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of gas processing systems, compressors, and plant instrumentation.
  • Good knowledge of safety management and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and plant management software is an added advantage.

Salary

N120,000 - N150,000 / Month.
