Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a News Editor, based in Abuja. The News Editor will be responsible for overseeing news content creation, editing, and publication to ensure accurate, timely, and engaging coverage. Daily tasks include managing news writing and editorial processes, mentoring a team of journalists, and staying updated on housing and real estate developments. The role requires collaboration with content creators and ensuring adherence to journalistic integrity and standards.

Qualifications

  • Must have worked in a news company
  • Proficiency in News Writing and Journalism, with experience in producing accurate and impactful news stories
  • Strong skills in Writing and Editorial processes, including proofreading and editing
  • Understanding and experience working with New Media platforms and trends
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage a team of reporters or journalists
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field
  • Knowledge of the housing, real estate, or construction industries will be an added advantage
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
