JOB TITLE: Heavy Equipment Clerk

  • To maintain the reliability, efficiency, and performance of wheel loaders, forklifts, and excavators through proactive maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution. 

The Job

  • Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for heavy-duty equipment. 
  • Inspect equipment regularly to identify issues and implement corrective measures. 
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and contractor performance. 
  • Coordinate with the outsourced sister company to ensure timely and quality execution of maintenance tasks. 
  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards during all maintenance activities. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align maintenance schedules with production needs. 
  • Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement as needed. 
  • Provide reports on equipment reliability, maintenance costs, and contractor efficiency. 

Requirements

  • 5 O' level credits including Mathematics & English in not more than 2 sittings. 
  • Technical College Certificate. 
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role. 

The Person Must:

  • Have good written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Knowledge of heavy-duty equipment maintenance and operation. 
  • Ability to develop and execute detailed maintenance plans. 
  • Have the willingness to adhere to all safety regulations and protocols. 
  • Proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance issues.
