About the Role

Intertek, a global leader in Total Quality Assurance, is seeking a dynamic HR Business Partner – West Africa to lead the people strategy across multiple countries and business lines. This senior role is pivotal in shaping our organizational culture, driving transformation, and ensuring excellence in people operations across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic HR Partnership: Partner with business leaders to design and deliver HR strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Talent Acquisition: Lead end-to-end recruitment to attract and retain top regional talent.
  • Learning & Development: Identify capability gaps, implement learning programs, and build leadership capacity.
  • Performance & Succession Management: Champion performance reviews, succession planning, and career growth initiatives.
  • Employee Engagement & Culture: Promote an inclusive, high-performance culture and drive engagement initiatives.
  • HR Operations & Compliance: Ensure adherence to local labor laws, HR policies, and operational excellence.
  • Leadership & Coaching: Mentor HR teams and leaders to foster continuous improvement and business alignment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • 10–15 years of progressive HR experience, including 5+ years in a senior HR leadership role
  • Proven record of HR transformation and organizational development
  • Experience in culture change and cross-border HR management
  • Strong understanding of regional labor laws and HR practices

Preferred Skills

  • CIPD, SPHR(i) or equivalent HR certification (advantageous)
  • Fluent in English and French (verbal & written)
  • Strong stakeholder management, coaching, and communication skills
  • Strategic thinker with analytical acumen and resilience to drive complex initiatives
