We are seeking a Full Stack Software Developer Volunteer with a high degree of confidence in SvelteKit, and , to join our technical team.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and operating our projects, websites with various functionalities such as user authentication, multi-language integration, subscription-based services, donations, sponsored business models, and much more.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the complete software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, system design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and support.
  • Develop robust, scalable, and secure features using Express.j & MongoDB, NodeMailer, and SvelteKit.
  • Develop and maintain a NoSQL MongoDB database within Railway, ensuring data integrity and performance.
  • Handle internationalization and localization of the web platform.
  • Integrate and maintain subscription-based services, recurring payments, and payment gateways with Paypal.
  • Implement efficient search functionality and manage email marketing communication.
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders, following the Agile methodology.
  • Conduct regular maintenance, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and user support activities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including regular security updates, encryption, audits, and penetration testing.

Required Skills:

  • Good knowledge and hands-on experience with SvelteKit.
  • Proven experience in backend development using , and MongoDB.
  • Good knowledge of building with Headless Content Management systems such as Payload CMS
  • Experience with NodeMailer and email marketing tools like MailChimp, Constant Contact, or Sendinblue.
  • Hands-on experience with internationalization/localization and payment system integration.
  • Good knowledge of Elasticsearch or Algolia.
  • Familiarity with Git, NPM, Vite, and ESLint.
  • Experience in deploying and operating software on the and Netlify.
  • Understanding of Agile methodology and DevOps practices.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux server management, including hardware and software requirements and SSL certificate management.
  • Experience with performance monitoring and optimization.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and security best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
