Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Risk Officer located in Lagos. The Risk Officer will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and mitigating potential risks to the organization. Daily tasks include developing risk management strategies, assessing business operations for vulnerabilities, monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements, and preparing detailed risk reports. The Risk Officer will work closely with various departments to ensure that the organization adheres to best practices for risk mitigation and decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Proven skills in Risk Assessment, Risk Management, and developing Risk Mitigation Strategies
  • Knowledge of Regulatory Compliance and experience in Monitoring and Reporting on compliance activities
  • Strong Analytical, Decision-Making, and Problem-Solving skills
  • Excellent Communication, Collaboration, and Interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in Risk Management software and tools, as well as basic Microsoft Office skills
  • Understanding of financial systems and practices, with attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Professional certifications such as CRM, CFA, or FRM are a plus
