Job Title: Administrative Officer

Location: Mushin, Lagos

Role Overview

Our client is looking for an administrative officer who will provide comprehensive administrative, logistical, and operational support to the Project Manager and central team. The role involves coordination of activities across five states, documentation management, meeting coordination, budget tracking support, and logistical arrangements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and able to thrive in a dynamic research environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project activities, schedules, and deliverables with the Project Manager.
  • Prepare and maintain project documents, reports, and correspondence.
  • Organise meetings (in-person and virtual), take minutes, and track action points.
  • Coordinate logistics for trainings, workshops, and project events.
  • Manage communication between the central team and state teams.
  • Manage project budgets and track expenditures, invoices, and reimbursements.
  • Prepare purchase orders and assist with procurement of project materials.
  • Maintain project files, inventories, and documentation systems.
  • Support travel arrangements and general administrative operations.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the Project Manager.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in public health, health administration, social sciences, or a related field (preferred).
  • 2–3 years' administrative experience in public health, NGO, research, or donor-funded projects.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive research information.
