For one of our clients, we are recruiting a Senior Financial Controller for West Africa. This is a role which is ideal for expatriates.

Job description

We are recruiting a Senior Financial Controller to strengthen our finance team.

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Financial Controller will be responsible for managing and improving control, reporting and analysis practices, and assisting the Finance Director with the following tasks:

  • Supervision of closings
  • Editing periodic reports for head office
  • Monitoring production costs
  • Transverse analysis: building and monitoring new reports
  • Cash management: forecasting requirements and managing financing
  • Managing fixed assets, stocks and third-party accounts
  • Drawing up budgets/forecasts and analysing variances
  • Payroll supervision
  • Management of internal and external audits
  • Implementation and improvement of management procedures
  • Managing tax files
  • Acting as interim CFO (2 months/year)
  • Assisting the Finance Director with any other matters

Depending on the controller's ability to take on responsibility, in the medium term he/she may be offered the opportunity to move up to the position of Finance Director.

Profile

  • Degree (MASTER level) in Applied Economics, Management, Finance or equivalent
  • Minimum 7-8 years
    of experience in Management Control, Audit or Consulting
  • Experience of expatriation in Africa, ideally on an isolated site/living base, is a plus
  • Potential to develop into a Finance Director in the long term
  • Proficiency in IT tools (MS Office) and good knowledge of accounting management applications and ERP systems.
  • English fluent, French conversational
