We are looking for an experienced and reliable Hospital Driver to ensure the safe and timely transportation of staff, management, and materials. The ideal candidate must have extensive knowledge of local road networks in Lagos, possess a valid driver's license, and maintain the company vehicle in pristine condition and adhere to strict confidentiality regarding patient information.

Key Responsibilities
1. Medical & Administrative Transportation

  • Staff Transport:
    Convey doctors, nurses, and administrative staff to meetings, training, or home visits safely.
  • Patient Transport:
    Assist in transporting patients (non-emergency) to and from the hospital, ensuring their comfort and safety during the ride.
  • Medical Logistics:
    Collect and deliver urgent medical supplies, blood products, oxygen cylinders, or laboratory samples to/from other facilities.
  • Handling Fragile Items:
    Ensure that medical samples (e.g., blood vials) are secured properly and not exposed to extreme heat or rough driving.

2. Vehicle Hygiene & Maintenance

  • Sanitization:
    Beyond regular washing, ensure door handles, seats, and interiors are wiped down with disinfectant regularly to prevent cross-infection.
  • Daily Checks:
    Perform routine checks on oil, water, brakes, tires, and siren/lights (if applicable) before every shift.
  • Maintenance:
    Report mechanical faults immediately to the Admin Manager to prevent breakdown during critical trips.

3. Safety & Compliance

  • Defensive Driving:
    Operate the vehicle with extreme caution, especially when transporting patients or fragile medical equipment.
  • Documentation:
    Maintain an accurate
    Movement Logbook
    , recording time out, destination, mileage, and purpose of the trip.
  • Traffic Laws:
    Strictly obey all traffic regulations. (Note: Unless driving a designated Ambulance with sirens on during an emergency, normal traffic laws apply).

4. Professional Conduct & Confidentiality

  • Patient Privacy:
    Maintain absolute confidentiality regarding any patient discussions overheard in the vehicle or patient files transported.
  • Empathy:
    Exhibit patience and kindness when helping elderly or sick patients enter and exit the vehicle.
  • Dress Code:
    Maintain a neat appearance (uniform if provided).

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education:
    Minimum of Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE).
  • Licensure:
    Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class E).
  • Experience:
    Minimum of 3–5 years driving experience. (Previous experience in a hospital or clinic is a major advantage).
  • Local Knowledge:
    Expert knowledge of the local area and hospitals/laboratories to ensure the fastest routes during emergencies.
  • Availability:
    Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or be on-call for emergencies if required.

Compensation

  • Salary:
    ₦120,000.00
