Role Summary:

The Internal Auditor will be responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of the company's internal controls, risk management, and governance processes. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience auditing retail operations, inventory processes, POS systems, branch activities, and compliance within a multi-store retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular internal audits across all retail outlets, warehouses, and operations.
  • Review financial records, POS reports, stock movement, and sales transactions to identify discrepancies.
  • Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements.
  • Investigate variances in inventory, cash handling, discounts, and store expenditures.
  • Monitor compliance with company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare timely audit reports with clear findings, risks identified, and corrective action recommendations.
  • Follow up to ensure implementation of corrective actions across departments.
  • Evaluate branch-level operational efficiency and highlight areas for optimization.
  • Support management in risk assessment and preventive control strategies.
  • Provide advisory support during stock counts, reconciliations, and system checks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of proven audit experience, preferably in the retail or fashion/lifestyle industry.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, POS systems, stock reconciliation, and retail operations.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks and audit standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and audit/reporting tools.
  • High integrity, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to travel to retail locations for audit assignments.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience auditing multi-branch businesses.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP or retail management systems.
  • Ability to identify operational risks and propose practical solutions.
