We are seeking an experienced Chartered Accountant to lead the setup and management of the accounting and financial infrastructure for a small/medium-sized hospital. The ideal candidate will be a chartered accountant with supervisory experience and a solid understanding of healthcare financial operations. This role is critical to ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and the establishment of robust accounting systems that support operational and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to

  • Design, set up, and implement a comprehensive accounting framework suitable for a hospital environment.
  • Establish accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance.
  • Set up chart of accounts, financial reporting structures, and cost centers tailored to hospital operations.
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, payables, receivables, payroll, and fixed assets
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations, and professional accounting standards.
  • Coordinate external audits and act as the primary liaison with auditors, tax authorities, and regulators.
  • Implement strong internal controls and risk management practices to safeguard hospital assets and revenue.
  • Build capacity within the finance team by establishing clear roles, workflows, and performance standards.
  • Provide financial insights to hospital management to support decision-making and cost control.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Must be a fully qualified Chartered Accountant
  • BSc/ MSc in accounting or finance
  • Minimum of 5 years' Experience within accounting or finance.
  • Proven experience setting up or restructuring accounting systems, preferably in healthcare or service-based organisations.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software and financial systems implementation.
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Salary - N500,000 NET

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₦500,000.00 per month
