Job Description

The Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across all areas of the restaurant, including the dining area, kitchen and restrooms. This role requires an organized, hardworking and detail-oriented individual who takes pride in ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for both customers and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize all areas of the restaurant, including dining spaces, restrooms, kitchen floors and staff areas.
  • Sweep, mop, dust and polish surfaces regularly to maintain a spotless appearance.
  • Empty trash bins, dispose of waste properly and replace liners as needed.
  • Wash and disinfect restrooms, ensuring adequate stock of cleaning supplies and toiletries.
  • Assist in cleaning kitchen areas, including floors and surfaces, while complying with hygiene and food safety standards.
  • Ensure windows, doors and furniture are clean and well-maintained.
  • Report any maintenance or repair needs promptly to the supervisor or manager.
  • Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules as directed.
  • Support the kitchen and service team with additional cleaning tasks when required.
  • Maintain cleaning tools and materials in good condition and store them properly after use.

Qualifications

  • SSCE qualification.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a Cleaner, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Ability to follow cleaning schedules and complete tasks on time.
  • Good understanding of hygiene and safety standards.
  • Reliable, disciplined and punctual.
  • Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.
