Role Summary

The Assistant Production Manager supports the end-to-end production process at Nitémi's studio, ensuring that all garments and accessories are produced efficiently, accurately, and to brand standards. This role works closely with the Production Manager, tailors, and the inventory team to ensure seamless workflow, timely delivery, and proper documentation of all production activities.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Production Planning & Coordination


• Assist in developing and updating production schedules based on weekly and monthly targets.


• Coordinate daily workflow with the production team (tailors, fabric cutters, embellishers, etc.).


• Ensure production tasks are assigned and completed according to priority and timelines.

  1. Quality Control & Standards


• Inspect finished pieces to ensure they meet Nitémi's quality expectations.


• Identify defects or inconsistencies and follow up with the team for corrections.


• Maintain brand quality standards across all production outputs.

  1. Materials & Inventory Management


• Work with the Inventory Officer to ensure all required materials (fabrics, trims, accessories) are available for production.


• Track material usage per style and monitor wastage to keep production cost-effective.


• Ensure the studio is organized, clean, and stocked with necessary tools and supplies.

  1. Documentation & Reporting


• Update production logs daily, including output, issues, and pending tasks.


• Support the preparation of weekly production reports for management review.


• Maintain accurate records of materials issued and returned.

  1. Team Support & Supervision


• Supervise artisans to ensure adherence to production guidelines and timelines.


• Provide support to the team in resolving production challenges.


• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and workplace policies.

  1. Communication & Process Improvement


• Collaborate closely with the design and retail teams to understand product requirements.


• Communicate delays, risks, or material shortages to the Production Manager promptly.


• Suggest improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce production time, and optimize resource use.

Key Requirements

Education & Experience


• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Industrial Production, Business Administration, or related field.


• 1–3 years of experience in fashion production, garment manufacturing, or similar role.


• Experience supervising artisans or coordinating a production team is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies


• Strong organizational and coordination skills.


• Excellent attention to detail and quality orientation.


• Knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and production processes.


• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


• Good communication and interpersonal skills.


• Proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel for reports and tracking.
