Job summary

We are seeking a competent and proactive Head of Accounts to oversee the financial operations of multiple business units located across different areas The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all accounting functions while providing strategic financial insights to management.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate all accounting and financial operations across different business locations.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, systems, and procedures to ensure standardisation and compliance.
  • Supervise account reconciliation, general ledger management, and monthly financial reporting.
  • Monitor budgets, cash flow, and expenditure to ensure effective cost control.
  • Ensure timely preparation of management accounts and statutory returns.
  • Manage inter-company transactions and ensure proper documentation across business units.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions as required.
  • Support the executive team with data-driven financial insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Lead, train, and supervise accounting staff across locations.
  • Travel regularly between business units to monitor and coordinate accounting activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree is an advantage).
  • A professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or head-level role.
  • Proven experience managing multi-location or multi-business accounting operations.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and statutory compliance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Sage, QuickBooks, or ERP systems).
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
