Role Summary

Responsible for the end-to-end design, development, and optimisation of embedded systems and electronic hardware supporting Meta-IV's product portfolio. The role spans firmware development, electronics design, prototyping, validation, and cross-functional integration to ensure reliable, scalable, and manufacturable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy embedded systems for new and existing hardware products.
  • Develop firmware for microcontrollers (ARM, ESP32, STM32, Atmel, and similar platforms) and integrate sensors, actuators, and control modules.
  • Design, test, and validate electronic circuits, including PCBs, power management systems, safety circuits, and control electronics.
  • Lead prototype development, debugging, validation, and performance optimisation of hardware–software interfaces.
  • Collaborate with mechanical and software engineering teams to ensure seamless integration, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Produce and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including schematics, firmware source code, test procedures, and validation reports.
  • Support product scaling, compliance testing (CE, EMC, safety standards), and reliability programmes.
  • Contribute to R&D initiatives, including new product concepts, experimental architectures, and technology feasibility assessments.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in embedded systems development and electronics hardware design.
  • Strong working knowledge of microcontrollers and motor control systems (stepper and servo).
  • Proven experience using PCB design software.
  • Proficiency in embedded programming and firmware development.
  • Practical familiarity with electronics measurement and testing tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analysers).
  • Prior experience in a spray booth or industrial equipment environment is an added advantage.
