Softcodes International Limited is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing our financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing key financial insights to support our business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the general ledger by processing all company invoices, payments, and purchases
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Coordinate and liaise with external auditors for annual audits.
  • Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with state and federal tax regulations.
  • Monitor and manage company expenditures, identifying areas for cost reduction.
  • Provide financial analysis and reports to senior management. Support the implementation of new accounting systems and processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or HND degree in Accounting or equivalent certification i.e ICAN.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in financial accounting or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience with financial audits and tax preparation is a plus.
