Job Title: Loan Collections Specialist

Job Location: Ikeja

Employment Type: Full-time

Company Benefits

Basic Salary: ₦60,000

Bonuses: Daily and weekly bonuses (up to ₦20,000 weekly)

Phone Compensation: Airtime & data allowance

Training: One-week training with transport subsidy

Transport Allowance: ₦1,000 daily during induction week

Hybrid Option: Work-from-home permission (return to office for retraining if performance drops)

Salary Review: Eligible after 3 months and again after 6 months

Year-End Bonus: Annual performance bonus for top performers

Responsibilities

  • Manage due, overdue, and defaulted loan accounts to ensure prompt collections.
  • Contact customers via calls, SMS, email, and approved digital channels.
  • Negotiate repayment plans, settlements, and commitments.
  • Monitor assigned loan portfolios and track collection performance.
  • Conduct skip tracing and follow up on unreachable customers.
  • Update repayment status and actions accurately on the loan management system.
  • Escalate delinquent or high-risk accounts for legal or advanced recovery.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
  • Work closely with credit, risk, and operations teams to minimize defaults.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of loan collections and credit recovery.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and persuasion skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and loan management systems.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation abilities.
  • Must own a smartphone (Android or iPhone).
