We focus on reliable delivery, secure payments, and scalable systems for products such as Call of Duty Mobile CP, PUBG UC, streaming subscriptions, and more.

We are currently building our core backend system to power our website, Android app, and iOS app — with strong emphasis on API design, payments, and system reliability.

Role Description

We are seeking a Back End Engineer to design, build, and maintain the core backend/API infrastructure of MSGC SHOP. This role focuses on creating scalable systems that handle users, orders, payments, and administrative workflows.

You will work closely with the product owner and mobile/web developers to ensure smooth system integration and long-term extensibility.

This is a hands-on engineering role, not a managerial or purely architectural position.

**Key Responsibilities

1.**
Design and develop RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications.

  1. Build and maintain backend systems for:

  2. User authentication and roles

  3. Order lifecycle management
  4. Manual fulfilment workflows (automation-ready)

  5. Admin controls and dashboards (backend logic)

  6. Integrate and manage payment gateways (e.g. Paystack, Flutterwave, card payments)

  7. Implement multi-currency and transaction verification logic

  8. Handle API security, authentication, and access control

  9. Optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability

  10. Troubleshoot, debug, and maintain production systems

  11. Write clean, well-documented, maintainable code

Technical Requirements

  1. Strong experience in Back-End Web Development.

  2. Proficiency in at least one backend stack:

  3. (Express/NestJS) or

  4. Django / Laravel

  5. Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)

  6. Experience working with REST APIs

  7. Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL)

  8. Familiarity with payment integrations and webhook handling

  9. Understanding of backend security best practices.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, DigitalOcean, etc.)
  • Experience building systems used by mobile applications
  • Exposure to multi-currency or international payment systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

OR

  • Equivalent hands-on experience building real backend systems
  • Practical experience matters more than formal education.

  • Not blockchain, AI, or Web3-focused
  • Not a purely theoretical or academic role
