Job Position: Procurement Head

Job Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Summary

  • The Head of Procurement is responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and supplier performance.
  • This role involves overseeing purchasing activities, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Document and implement procurement policies and procedures to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Conduct market surveys to develop vendor base and obtain information about prices of various items required.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure the best deals.
  • Foster strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure long-term collaboration
  • Develop trackers for Monitoring procurement expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities e.g. Rate Contracts.
  • Optimize inventory levels to prevent overstocking or shortages.
  • Work with the various stakeholders to efficiently manage the manage procurement function
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal and ethical standards.
  • Mitigate risks related to supplier performance, contract disputes, and market fluctuations.
  • Maintain documentation and audit trails for transparency and accountability.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team.
  • Set performance metrics and ensure continuous improvement in processes.

Skills

  • Interested candidates should possess an HND / Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience – 10 to 12 years
  • Key Skill – Civil Work including construction and business expansion related projects
  • Other Requirement – standard procurement affairs
  • Key Skill – Execution of Marketing assignments related to activations, POP, etc.
  • Other Requirement – Standard procurement functions.
