Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic HR Director to provide executive-level leadership and direction for the entire human resources function. This is a strategic role critical to aligning our people initiatives with core business objectives. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader with deep expertise in manufacturing environments, capable of driving change, optimizing the employee lifecycle, and building robust talent pipelines to support our growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy that supports the company's short-term and long-term business goals.
- Partner with the executive leadership team to provide expert guidance on all people-related matters, including organizational design, change management, and business transformation.
- Act as a strategic business partner, leveraging HR metrics and analytics to inform decision-making and demonstrate ROI on human capital initiatives.
Talent Management & Acquisition:
- Lead the design and implementation of effective talent acquisition strategies to attract, recruit, and retain top talent for corporate, technical, and plant-based roles.
- Oversee a robust performance management system that drives high performance, clarifies expectations, and links individual goals to business outcomes.
- Develop and manage succession planning and career development programs to ensure a strong pipeline of future leaders.
Employee Relations & Engagement:
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-trust work environment across all levels of the organization.
- Serve as the ultimate point of escalation for complex employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and legal compliance.
- Design and implement initiatives that enhance employee engagement, morale, and retention, particularly on the production floor.
Learning & Organizational Development:
- Identify organizational training needs and develop programs to enhance skills, leadership capabilities, and operational effectiveness.
- Drive initiatives related to onboarding, continuous learning, and upskilling to meet the evolving needs of a modern manufacturing workforce.
Compensation, Benefits & HR Operations:
- Oversee the design and administration of competitive compensation, benefits, and incentive programs.
- Ensure efficiency and compliance across all HR operations, including payroll, HRIS, and policy management.
- Manage the HR budget and resources effectively.
Labor Relations & Compliance (Where applicable):
- Lead union negotiations and manage all aspects of labor relations with integrity and strategic acumen.
- Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CIPM, SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 10-12 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5-7 years in a senior HR leadership role (Director or Senior Manager) within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Must have direct experience with the unique challenges of a manufacturing environment, including managing a multi-shift, hourly workforce, safety culture, and plant operations.

Experience in leading organizational change, mergers/acquisitions, or cultural transformation initiatives.
