Cake decorator

The Cake Decorator is responsible for creating visually appealing and high-quality cake designs that meet customer expectations and company standards. The role requires creativity, attention to detail, and proficiency in cake decoration techniques such as fondant, buttercream, piping, and other artistic styles.

Key Responsibilities

• Decorate cakes, cupcakes, and pastries according to design specifications and customer requests.
• Work with fondant, buttercream, royal icing, and other decorating mediums.
• Ensure all finished products are neat, consistent, and meet quality standards.
• Collaborate with bakers and other team members to plan designs for special orders.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in the decoration area.
• Keep up with cake decorating trends and introduce innovative designs.
• Manage time effectively to complete multiple orders within deadlines.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of decorating tools and materials.
• Assist in training junior staff or interns when required.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience as a Cake Decorator, preferably in a confectionery, bakery, or hospitality industry.
• Strong artistic and creative skills.
• Proficiency in fondant, buttercream, piping, and modern decorating techniques.
• Attention to detail and ability to replicate designs consistently.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Team player with good communication skills.
