Summary:
The Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant / Intern plays a vital role in strengthening program effectiveness by supporting the tracking, assessment, and continuous learning processes across initiatives. This position provides hands-on experience in results-based management, data-driven decision-making, and evidence-based programming. The intern contributes to the integrity and quality of program data by assisting in data collection, entry, analysis, and reporting, while supporting the design and implementation of M&E tools. Through this role, the intern gains practical exposure to monitoring systems, impact measurement, and ethical data handling, all while contributing to the organization’s accountability and learning culture.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the design, testing, and implementation of monitoring and evaluation tools and data collection instruments.
  • Support the collection, entry, and validation of program data from field activities.
  • Conduct basic data analysis to identify trends, gaps, and progress toward program objectives.
  • Help prepare routine reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate program performance.
  • Support the documentation and dissemination of lessons learned and best practices.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality in compliance with ethical and organizational standards.
  • Participate in M&E meetings, training sessions, and field visits as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of knowledge products and learning materials.
