Role Description The Project Management Officer is a full-time role based in Lagos with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site collaboration with some work-from-home flexibility. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring multiple projects and programs across FortisCo’s housing and infrastructure initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Day-to-day tasks include developing project plans and timelines, tracking milestones and deliverables, managing risks and issues, and supporting budgeting and resource allocation. The Project Management Officer will prepare and maintain documentation, dashboards, and reports for stakeholders, facilitate effective communication between cross-functional teams, and support the implementation of project management standards and best practices. The role also involves analyzing project performance data, recommending improvements, and helping ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Qualifications
- Strong Project Management and Program Management skills, with experience coordinating complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
- Solid Analytical Skills and Budgeting capabilities to interpret data, manage financial resources, and support evidence-based decisions.
- Effective Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication and the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Agile, or similar) and proficiency in MS Office or equivalent software.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Business, Finance, Economics, Project Management, or a related discipline; professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, prioritize tasks, and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with real estate, housing, infrastructure, or financial services sectors in Africa is a plus, along with an interest in systems-level problem solving.
