Operations Assistant

Position Overview:
- The Operations Assistant Finance and Admin will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of Peace Shapers’ administrative and financial functions.
- This role combines finance management with administrative support to help maintain our organization’s daytoday activities.
- The ideal candidate is detailoriented, organized, and committed to supporting the mission of Peace Shapers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Finance Management: Assist in processing invoices, tracking expenditures, and preparing financial reports.
- Administrative Support: Manage daily office operations, including scheduling, recordkeeping, and handling correspondence.
- Compliance: Ensure financial and administrative procedures are followed, and assist with documentation for audits.
- General Support: Provide assistance to the COO and other team members with project management and operational tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- A degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in finance, administration, or operations, preferably within a nonprofit organization.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Word, Excel, PowerPoint and financial software such as QuickBooks.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial data.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
