Job Summary
The Senior Engineer will be responsible for overseeing all BOP preventive maintenance activities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervision of Maintenance Activities in the Boiler Section.
- Supervise Daily Routines, Preventive, and Corrective Maintenance.
- Preventive Maintenance Planning, Scheduling of Corrective Maintenance from Preventive Maintenance.
- Preventive and Corrective Maintenance Management on the Enterprise Asset Management System IBM Maximo.
- Perform Overhauls, Major, and Minor Inspections of Boiler Pressure Parts and Valves
- Plan and Monitor Overhauls Schedules of Boiler Systems to Achieve Improved Reliability and Prevent Schedule Overrun.
- Conduct Safety Inspection as scheduled.
- Conduct follow-ups on all repair work.
- Responsible for Boiler Spares Planning, Purchase, Stocking and Requisition.
- Ensure Adherence to QHSE Requirements in all Maintenance Activities.
- Risk Assessment and Management of the Boiler Systems.
Education and Work Experience
- Minimum of a First Degree HND/BSc in Mechanical/Production Engineering
- Minimum of Seven to Eight 7 - 8 Years of Work Experience in Industrial/Power Generation Boiler/Turbine Systems.
- Membership of NATE, NSE, and COREN will be an Added Advantage.
Skills and Competencies
- Experience and working exposure to maintenance of BOP and auxiliaries
- In-depth understanding of BOP operations.
- Sound technical troubleshooting skills.
- Appreciable knowledge of safety requirements.
- Sound knowledge of power generation processes.
- Knowledge of modern maintenance management practices and spare inventory management.
- Effective communication and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
