Job Description for Factory Manager

Job Summary

Ascentech Services Limited seeks a seasoned Factory Manager to oversee the production operations of our RPET manufacturing facility. This is a leadership role that requires a strategic thinker with a background in engineering, manufacturing, or related fields.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement production strategies to meet business objectives, focusing on efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
  2. Lead a team of production staff, providing training, guidance, and coaching to ensure they operate at optimal levels.
  3. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts that align with company goals and budget constraints.
  4. Monitor production output, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to meet deadlines and quality standards.
  5. Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, promoting a culture of sustainability within the organization.
  6. Collaborate with quality control teams to implement corrective actions and prevent defective products from reaching the market.
  7. Prepare and present production reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.

Qualifications and Requirements

  1. Education
    1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
    2. Alternatively, a degree in Management or Business Studies can be beneficial.
  2. Experience
    1. Several years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in RPET production.
    2. Proven track record in leadership roles, demonstrating the ability to manage teams and achieve performance targets.
  3. Skills
    1. Deep understanding of RPET processing, including sorting, washing, SSP, and reforming processes.
    2. Process optimization skills, with experience in OEE, 5S methodology, and SMED.
    3. Quality management expertise, including statistical process control and CAPA implementation.
