Finance Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Officer to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing insights to support business decisions. This role is crucial in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.
• Accounts Management: Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of bank statements and general ledger accounts, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues.
• Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, preparing forecasts to ensure the company has adequate funds to meet operational needs.
• Budgeting: Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets, providing variance analysis and recommendations for cost control.
• Audit Support: Prepare documentation for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Vendor Management: Maintain relationships with vendors and service providers, negotiating terms and ensuring timely payments.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes, identifying trends and providing actionable insights.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations, labor laws, and other financial-related legal requirements.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights that support strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional certification e.g., ACCA, ACA, ICAN is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in the advertising or media industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software e.g., QuickBooks, Sage and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
