Job Responsibilities

  • As a Procurement Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our organization's financial management and procurement operations. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to
  • Efficiently handle the procurement process, including sourcing vendors, obtaining competitive bids, and negotiating favorable prices for goods and services.
  • Utilize your excellent negotiation skills to secure the best possible terms and conditions with vendors while maintaining positive and professional relationships.
  • Prepare and manage purchase orders and contracts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to procurement policies.
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure all procurement activities are in line with the allocated budgets and financial regulations.
  • Maintain meticulous books of accounts and records related to procurement activities, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
  • Provide financial data and reports to management, enabling informed decision-making regarding procurement strategies and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Uphold a high level of integrity and compliance with the organization's policies, ethical standards, and relevant regulations in all procurement transactions.

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Proven experience in procurement, vendor management, and financial accounting.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with procurement laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A high level of integrity and ethical conduct in all business dealings.
