  • The company is in search of a proactive Head of Strategy and New Business to spearhead strategic planning and business development initiatives throughout the organization.
  • Reporting directly to the Group Managing Director, the ideal candidate should be a strategic thought leader with a proven history of driving business growth, overseeing transformation projects, and leading diverse teams.
  • This position demands a leader with robust analytical abilities, the knack for influencing stakeholders, and a dedication to cultivating a culture of ongoing improvement and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
  • A. Strategy Development and Execution:
  • Collaborate with key executives to craft short- and long-term business strategies, including yearly strategic plans, to ensure coherence with budgets and overall objectives.
  • Take charge of regional growth and business development strategies, from spotting opportunities to formulating business cases and executing plans.
  • Work closely with internal and external partners to guarantee that growth initiatives are in sync, resources are allocated efficiently, and essential actions are taken.
  • Lead the implementation of crucial growth strategies, gauging impact through increased orders, market reach, and profit optimization.
  • Leverage market insights and analysis to guide strategic decisions and activities.
  • Conduct quarterly business evaluations to oversee and assess key priorities while identifying areas for enhancement.
  • Assist in creating and enforcing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) policies.
Business Development:
  • Revise and implement business development protocols, processes, and strategies.
  • Spot and plan for new business prospects, driving their realization.
  • Nurture client connections to enhance performance and boost margins.
  • Collaborate with clients to optimize contract strategies and bolster revenue.
  • Support in preparing tenders and conducting commercial assessments.
Management and Leadership:
  • Translate strategic objectives into quantifiable business performance metrics for clear guidance.
  • Foster productive relationships within the team and across the organization.
Stakeholder Management:
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders on operational and strategic issues.
  • Establish and uphold strong relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with partners and vendors effectively.
Business Transformation:
  • Devise and implement strategic growth initiatives and oversee a range of key projects.
  • Lead strategic and transformational endeavors, addressing market demands and customer requirements.
  • Provide direction for the Transformation Programme, formulating data-driven business justifications.
  • Accelerate transformation opportunities by collaborating with markets to embed innovation.
  • Steer implementation and facilitate coordination between subsidiaries and departments.
  • Monitor and report on progress with transformation projects and strategic focuses.
  • Deliver adept change management guidance and assistance.
Requirements:
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in a social science-related field; an MBA or Master's in a relevant area is preferred.
  • Membership in a professional body within the industry is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in a similar capacity, with at least 5 years in senior management.
  • Prior experience overseeing the strategic planning cycle for a sizable organization.
  • Demonstrated skills in cross-functional collaboration and prioritization.
