Job Description:

The Plumbing Maintenance Technician will oversee the installation, inspection and repairs of pipes and plumbing systems to make sure all of our building's fixtures operate correctly. This will include finding the source of leaks and blockages, fixing or replacing broken parts and testing the plumbing system.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Daily routine checks of water pumps, hydrant pump, water treatment plants, sprinkler, sewage treatment & swimming pool.
  • Periodic maintenance /service of clogged drains, faucets, pipes, control valves.
  • Prompt response to all plumbing faults, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies.
  • Maintain run pumps & heaters; install, repair and carry out general preventative procedures on all plumbing systems.
  • Installation, repair and maintenance of sanitary wares & features, unclog drainpipes and mend defected pipes.
  • •Carry out any other duty as requested by the Head of facilities.
  • Periodic backwash of swimming pool, water treatment & sewage treatment; ensuring regular pool water quality, chlorine & PH balance.
  • Respond to swimming pool related work orders and repair non-functioning machinery or equipment and other maintenance tasks.
  • Install, examine the installed system for any leakages, repair and carry out general preventative procedures on all plumbing systems.
  • Diagnose faults, repair and maintain swimming pools, water systems, filter systems, pumps, and mechanical equipment.
  • Keep records of all plumbing maintenance and repair work conducted, including a record supplied orders, and used kits.
  • Work from different locations, when required.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as may be required from time to time

Skills/Competencies

  • Identifying the right tools and procedures for every plumbing job.
  • Good intuitive & detail to attention.
  • Conversant with modern & various types of sanitary features.
  • Ability to work under pressure & provide assistance in other departments.
  • Communication and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Min of NCE, OND Technical Vocational certificate
  • Min of 5-7 years working experience as a maintenance Plumber.
