JOB SUMMARY
University Degree in Civil Engineering or related field (master's degree preferred)5+ years of experience in design engineering, with a focus on foundation projectsStrong technical skills, including proficiency in design software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit)Excellent communication and project management skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentFluent in English (French and/or Portuguese a plus).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the design engineering efforts for the foundations segment, developing innovative solutions and driving technical sales growth in West Africa.Main TasksTechnical design and engineering activities for foundation projectsDevelop and maintain technical relationships with engineering firms, construction companies, and government agenciesIdentify and pursue new project opportunities, collaborating with sales teams to develop technical proposalsProvide technical training and support to customers and internal teamsStay up-to-date with industry trends, developing and implementing new design solutions and technologiesManage and mentor a team of design engineers, providing guidance and oversight on projectsCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, production, and procurement.Miscellaneous tasks / roles:Risk Management: Apply sound risk management principles to all aspects of projects activities to ensure all risk factors are avoided, mitigated and/or managed in the best interests of ArcelorMittal business, clients and staff. Objective of this is also to reduce the time and cost of change / implementations.Contractual: Support contract development and/or negotiation with clients and suppliers, with a specific focus on the technical aspects of the contract (product specifications, tolerances, ITP, ...).
