Job Summary:
A leader who will develop and coordinate the overall strategies i.e. provide strategic guidance on software for operation with the sole aim of enhancing productivity, efficiency and business continuity within the organization. Responsible for the successful design, implementation and operation of all the company's IT software programs and projects with the desired outcome being the main driver.
Responsibilities:
- Define, develop and implement the required strategies, policies, procedures, rules and standards that guide the team and its activities based on business objectives, deliverables and outcomes.
- Supervise planning, tracking and execution of all IT solution software related activities within the organization.
- Tracking and reporting on program/project performance to the executive team and other stakeholders.
- Responsible for the management of budget, resources and their appropriate allocations etc. as it relates to IT software projects.
- Identification and management of risks, threats, issues etc. in collaboration with relevant stakeholders i.e. senior management, third-party solution providers etc.
- Lead the IT software team/projects to ensure delivery within the agreed timeline and budget and that it meets business needs.
- Engage third-party solution providers on solutions, cost and implementations.
- Engage in technical conversations with third-party solution providers on the best approach to address business needs.
- Champion innovative and practical solutions to address business challenges. Could be an improvement on existing systems or new solutions.
- Ensure that proposed solutions align with the organization's strategic goals and technological capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Business Administration, Computer/Information Technology, or a related field Master's degree or project management is a plus.
- Oustanding leadership and organizational skills.
- Proven work experience in project/program management methodologies/techniques and strategic planning.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in budgeting, requirement-gathering techniques, process modelling, and documentation.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and software development lifecycle.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent knowledge of relevant tools such as Microsoft Office, Asana, Smartsheet, Clickup, etc.
- Proven work experience in database development/management using MySql and MongoDB.
- Proven experience in API development/integration.
- Knowledgeable in cloud computing platform deployment and management e.g. AWS, DigitalOcean.
- At least 3 years of working experience in a similar capacity or role.
