**Job Summary:**

A Data Analyst with international development experience is sought to produce technical organisational reports and dashboards, provide support to colleagues and analyse programmatic data.

**About the Role:**

Sightsavers is a global organisation working to eradicate avoidable blindness and promote equality of opportunity for disabled people. We are looking for a skilled Data Analyst to join our DART team in Lusaka, Zambia; Nwoya, Uganda; Dar es Salaam, Tanzania; Nairobi, Kenya; Bamako, Mali; Freetown, Sierra Leone or Abuja, Nigeria.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and produce quarterly and annual dashboards and data reports using Power BI, Excel and DHIS2-based approaches.
  • Conduct data analysis on Sightsavers projects.
  • Strengthen country office data reporting systems.
  • Map and improve project data flows with country offices.

**Essential Qualifications and Skills:**

  • Graduate-level qualification in statistics, information systems, international development, public health or a related field.
  • Proven track record of working with organisational data management systems and applying data analysis/statistical techniques.
  • Practical experience of good data quality and data cleaning practices.
  • Capacity building and supporting staff in different contexts.
  • Understanding of international development issues and a commitment to equality of opportunity for disabled people.
  • Practical experience of DHIS2 for data collection, reporting and visualisation.
  • Experience of digital transformation and implementing new software/tools/working practices.
  • Proficient in the use of Power BI, Tableau or other data visualisation software.
  • Experience of using Power Query for extraction, transformation, loading and connecting data from different data sources.
  • Able to work with multiple stakeholders and ensure differing concerns and priorities are effectively managed.
  • Fluent in English, with experience of writing reports and briefings in English.

**Desirable Qualifications and Skills:**

  • Master's degree in international development, international relations, geography, statistics or a related field.
  • French and/or Portuguese language skills.
