Key roles and responsibilities

  • Create engaging content, including reports, presentations, website copy, and social media posts, to communicate our sustainability initiatives and achievements.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and stakeholder expectations related to sustainability and advise on potential implications for our organization.
  • Support sustainability reporting efforts, including gathering data, coordinating with relevant departments, and ensuring compliance with reporting frameworks and standards.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Communications and Sustainability Manager CC/SM and Corporate Affairs Managers CAMs on sustainability projects and collation of performance and impact reports for such projects.
  • Collaborate with CC/SM on creating plans for the year
  • Work on presentations and reports as necessary
  • Work with cross-functional teams, the zone and necessary partners to implement projects
  • Regular update and maintenance of the website.
  • Working with the agency on digital content and monitoring of interactions on Social media posts for engagement and flagging of posts with potential of affecting the company's reputation negatively.
  • Identify opportunities for corporate brand growth and garner goodwill
  • Plan and execute corporate events, conferences, and sponsorships to raise the company's profile and support its business objectives.
  • Management of OneDrive data repository of all the company's projects and event's media component such as pictures and videos.

Key attributes and competencies:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data effectively.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills, with a keen eye for detail and creativity.
  • Familiarity with sustainability frameworks and reporting standards e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive change within organizations.
  • Ability to engage internal and external stakeholders

Profile:

Education

  • Min. of B.Sc./HND in Communications, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, or related field.

Experience

  • 3 - 5 years management experience.
  • Proven experience in corporate communications, sustainability reporting, or related areas, preferably within a corporate or consulting environment.
