As an Audit Officer at Nsik Engineering, you will work under the supervision of the Head of Audit to support the internal audit function of the organization. You will be responsible for conducting audits of financial, operational, and compliance processes, identifying areas of risk and control deficiencies, and making recommendations for improvement. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in internal audit and contribute to the company's efforts to enhance governance and risk management practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Audit Planning and Execution:

Assist in the development of the annual internal audit plan based on risk assessments and input from senior management.
Conduct audits of various business processes and operations to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Perform audit procedures including testing of controls, sample selection, and data analysis in accordance with audit programs and methodologies.
Risk Assessment and Control Evaluation:

Identify and assess risks associated with business activities and processes, and evaluate the adequacy of existing controls to mitigate those risks.
Document audit findings, control deficiencies, and areas of non-compliance, and communicate results to the audit team and relevant stakeholders.
Collaborate with process owners and management to develop action plans and recommendations for addressing control weaknesses and improving processes.
Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:

Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards through audit activities and reviews.
Stay informed about changes in regulatory requirements and industry best practices, and contribute to compliance efforts within the organization.
Support coordination with external auditors and regulatory agencies during audits and inquiries as needed.
Audit Reporting and Follow-Up:

Prepare clear and concise audit reports summarizing findings, recommendations, and management responses.
Present audit results to the audit team, management, and other stakeholders, and facilitate discussions on remediation efforts and action plans.
Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and track progress to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
