Job Description

The Network Engineering / Cloud / PCN Services Support Analyst (Field – Level 1) will provide entry-level onsite support for network, cloud, and private communication network (PCN) infrastructure, including vessel tracking services in field operations. This role focuses on first-line troubleshooting, monitoring, and ensuring reliable connectivity for field staff and systems, escalating complex issues to higher-level engineers when required.

Key Responsibilities

Provide first-level technical support for field-based network, cloud, PCN, and telecom systems.

Monitor vessel tracking services and ensure accurate data transmission.

Assist in troubleshooting connectivity, Wi-Fi, LAN/WAN, and VoIP issues in the field.

Perform basic configuration, testing, and maintenance of field network equipment under supervision.

Log incidents and service requests in the helpdesk/ticketing system and escalate as needed.

Support monitoring of field IT and communication systems for performance and security alerts.

Assist with field network installations, upgrades, and routine maintenance tasks.

Ensure compliance with safety, IT governance, and organizational standards.

Provide user support for cloud-based applications and remote access systems.

Document procedures, solutions, and known issues for knowledge sharing.

Requirements

HND/Bachelor’s degree in IT, Networking, Telecommunications, or related field.

3-5 years’ experience in IT/network/field support (internship/NYSC experience acceptable).

Basic understanding of networking concepts (LAN/WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, VoIP).

Familiarity with cloud applications (Microsoft 365, Azure, or AWS basics).

Awareness of vessel tracking or GPS-based systems is an advantage.

Relevant certifications (CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or Cloud Fundamentals) are a plus.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

Willingness to work in challenging field environments and learn from senior engineers.
