  • PPP Transaction Advisory: We design and structure PPP transactions in infrastructure, such as electricity, water, transportation, telecommunications, and social services like health and education.
  • Corporate Finance Services: Our three key product offerings include M&A Advisory, Equity Mobilization Program, and Asset Monetization.

We mobilized $4.7B of private investment in FY24 and aim to reach $5.9B in FY25, accounting for almost 25% of IFC's total core mobilization. With over 120 staff across the globe, we manage over 100 active client engagements.

About the Role

We are seeking an Investment Analyst to join our Central Africa hub, supporting the regional team and management in business development and PPP transaction processes. As an Investment Analyst, you will work closely with the CA Hub Lead, focusing on Central Africa and beyond, depending on business needs.

The role involves collaborating with the PPP team to advise on various types of transactions, including public-private partnerships, restructuring and privatization of state-owned enterprises, and corporate finance activities.

Responsibilities
  • Originate and market activities, preparing pitch books and proposals
  • Prepare memos and documentation for internal approval and consultant procurement processes
  • Perform financial analysis and modeling
  • Assist in due diligence, management of consultants, review of legal, commercial, and technical outputs, and preparation of transaction structuring reports
  • Support marketing to potential investors, assisting clients in organizing and managing international competitive tenders and commercial/financial closure
  • Collaborate with other parts of IFC, including environmental and social, legal, advisory, and investment departments, as well as World Bank colleagues
Requirements
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in finance or accounting from a reputable university
  • Minimum of two years' experience in project finance, corporate finance, M&A, privatizations, or private equity funds in infrastructure
  • Strong financial modeling skills
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual skills and ability to communicate ideas clearly and confidently
  • Good presentation skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to travel frequently
About You

You should have a strong understanding of international finance, with a focus on emerging markets. Your excellent communication and analytical skills will enable you to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and develop innovative solutions.

A salary range of approximately $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience, will be offered to successful candidates. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, retirement plan, paid leave, and parental leave.
